Mrs Tara Krishnan, known as Tara Mami, was the one who introduces to us TIV (Thiruppukazh Isai Vazhipadu). My wife and I became students of Tara Mami in 1985, when we were living in Mississauga, a suburb of Toronto, Canada.
In 1988, Mami and Krishnan Mama returned to Chennai. They came back to Toronto in 1994.
Tara Mami visited us in Thiruvananthapuram twice, in 2002 and 2007.
